HOW ARE CLUBS CREATED?

Student input on club offerings is always warmly encouraged; clubs may change each quarter depending on interest of students and current participants so please share suggestions with DFS Staff!

HOW MUCH DO CLUBS COST?

Clubs are free for all member families.  Some clubs may want to source materials outside of what DFS can offer, such as costumes for a show; some clubs need members to bring their own technological devices for participation

CAN I BRING A FRIEND?

Guest passes are available for $3 per CHILD per day with a required parent-signed waiver/permission form.  Guest must attend with and remain under the supervision of a member family.

WHAT DOES STUDENT-LED MEAN?

Clubs are formed and run by students with similar interests.  While adults may be consulted when needed for help, advice, or materials, students shape their learning and retain ownership of making each club successful.  Student led activities promote collaboration, build leadership skills, allow for a sense of autonomy and self-direction, and allow students to try new activities in a low-stakes environment.  They are able to mentor younger or less skilled peers and benefit from the group's shared expertise.  Clubs are fun and they bring our community together.

DO I NEED TO SIGN UP?

Clubs are drop-in; that being said, if the group is relying on you to bring materials or perform, please don't let them down!
